Description
The Creality K2 is the way into the K2 family. An enclosed CoreXY machine that runs at 600 mm/s, levels itself, cuts and loads its own filament, and gets on with the job without asking anything of you. If you’ve been printing on an open-frame machine and you’re tired of babysitting it, this is the step up.
This listing is for the printer on its own. If you want multi-colour printing, see our K2 Combo, which includes the CFS unit.
Printer only — what that means
You get the complete K2 printer, ready to print in a single colour, straight out of the box. You do not get the CFS (Creality Filament System) multi-colour unit.
The printer is fully CFS-ready, so you can add one whenever you want it. You’re simply not paying for it today.
Who it’s for
Anyone printing PLA, PETG and carbon-fibre PLA who wants speed and reliability without the price of a workshop machine. Models, prototypes, prints for the house, small-batch parts — the 260 mm cube handles the overwhelming majority of what people actually print, and the enclosure keeps draughts, noise and dust out of it.
One honest word on materials. The K2 does not have a heated chamber. PLA, PETG and PLA-CF are its home ground and it’s excellent at them. ABS and nylon are possible but prone to warping on any printer without active chamber heating — if those are your main filaments, the K2 Plus is the machine you want, and we’d rather tell you that now than take the order.
What makes it good
600 mm/s, 20,000 mm/s² acceleration
A rigid enclosed CoreXY frame is what lets it use that speed rather than just claim it. Prints that used to run overnight finish while you’re out.
Sensored filament path with automatic cutter
Run-out detection and a magnetic cutter that trims the filament cleanly on every change. It’s the unglamorous feature that stops jams, and it’s the reason adding a CFS later is painless.
Hardened steel quick-swap nozzle, 300 °C
Hardened as standard, so carbon-fibre and glow filaments won’t chew it out. Swapped in seconds without tools.
40 mm³/s high-flow direct drive
Enough flow to actually feed the speed, and a short direct-drive path that handles flexibles far better than a Bowden setup.
Fully automatic levelling
No bed screws, no paper, no test squares. It sorts itself out and starts printing.
Chamber camera with failure detection
720p monitoring through Creality Cloud, so you can check a long print from your phone and catch a failure before it wastes a whole roll.
